Last summer we drove to the countryside of Southern France, visiting some friends who had just moved there. A peaceful weekend that reminded me once again of how much I love the rhythm of small, French villages. We spent the warmest day renting a little boat along the river Tarn, seeking to enjoy nature and refreshment. The reflection I captured there brings up childhood memories of light and carefree summer days playing outdoors.

This artwork is part of Painting with my camera, a photo series in which I explore how to create colourful abstract artworks with the use of my camera. Resulting in blurry images that, for a moment, make you dream with open eyes.
