It’s a warm spring evening in Marseille. The sun throws its last rays inside the old harbour straight onto the front-row buildings. Following my sister’s recommendation I’m on my way to la Plage des Catalans to watch the sunset. I’m already too late to see the beginning, but I get to enjoy the complete colour range of golden hour. Along the road a bright yellow glow hits the city, a deep orange light shines through the masts of the sailing boats and a soft pink cloud touches the horizon. I arrive just in time to watch the orange ball disappear for today.
