When I visited Oaxaca in Mexico I followed a food tasting tour at La Cocina de Humo. It’s a very traditional and renown restaurant with a beautiful outdoors kitchen as the food is prepared on fire and smoke. As usual, I couldn’t help but to spot the bright bouquets of dried flowers that were spread all over the quite dark space, bringing it a touch of light.

A touch of dried flowers is part of Painting with my camera, a photo series in which I explore how to create colourful abstract artworks with the use of my camera. Resulting in blurry images that, for a moment, make you dream with open eyes.
