I enter the patio of my new home in Spain, in search of the last sunlight of this warm winter day. The golden rays hit the orange wall, making it more intense than usually. Right in front of it, the little purple flowers of our rosmarin plant are slowly turning darker as the sun disappears behind the mountain. The mix of these deep colours feel like a new life that is slowly blooming after a dark winter.

Flor de Romero is part of Painting with my camera, a photo series in which I explore how to create colourful abstract artworks with the use of my camera. Resulting in blurry images that, for a moment, make you dream with open eyes.
